Key Personnel Coaching

What is Key Personnel Coaching?
Key Personnel Coaching is a unique client/coach interaction based on organizational expectations and attuned to individual client’s values and goals. The coach serves as a “performance partner” to fully support the client in achieving his/her highest leadership potential. The organization benefits from the focused development of a key performer. The individual benefits from improved performance and reenergized careers.

Representative example: An organization undergoing significant technological changes wanted its leadership team to manage changes expeditiously and lead staff in embracing new systems. The Coaching Managers program provided a forum to improve leadership skills and overcome resistance to change.

How does Coaching Work?
Generally the individual or the organization recognizes an unmet need, talent or opportunity and chooses one-on-one coaching to close the gap. Julie Bernardin, M.Ed. meets initially with the client’s manager to assess needs and set goals. The first client coaching session includes agreement on goals as set by organization’s mandate and attuned with the client’s values and goals. Ongoing sessions address needs, concerns and achievements, using current situations to achieve targeted goals. Coaching sessions often focus on improving communications, strengthening strategic planning competencies and reinforcing essential leadership competencies. As coach, I offer insights, challenges and strategies to support the client in achieving phenomenal success.

What About Scheduling?
A variety of options is available depending on organizational and individual needs. After an extended initial session, follow-up sessions can range from one-half hour to two hours, either weekly or biweekly, for as long (or short) a period as needed. Sessions can be in person or on the telephone.
